I have owned my Action Craft Flatsmaster since 1986. There is no better flats skiff for the type of fishing that's available to us in south Florida. I have fished every weekend in our Flatsmaster either in Pine Island Sound or Everglades National Park. It can get you into the back country and float real skinny and still be able to take you through a nasty chop and keep you dry. I fly fish for redfish and snook and the quiet hull design allows us to sneak up on those spooky fish. A lot of my friends have owned different boats over the last twenty years but I have not seen another boat be able to do what our Flatsmaster can. Thanks Action Craft. Keep up the great work.

Paul, thank you for your time and sending us the user guide for our Action Craft 1600 FlatsPro with the live bait and catch tanks. This will help us get more enjoyment from our 1600.

We selected the 1600 series because of the 11 inch wide gunnels. My wife is handicap disabled and on her second artificial hip. Because of her situation we gave up any idea of owning a boat until we looked at the Action Craft 1600 sitting in the show room of the Saint Augustine Marina here in Vilano Beach where we live. The Key Selling feature is the 11 inch wide gunnels. My wifes disability does not allow her to step into a rocking boat. Any gunnels narrower then 8 inches does not allow her to sit on the gunnel and swing her legs into the boat. Its too painful on her artificial hip hardware and leg bone. But with the Action Craft 1600 and the 11 inch gunnels she uses a two step step ladder to sit on the gunnel then grab the hand rail on the center console and swing her legs into the boat from that sitting position. We do this while the boat is on the trailer before we back it down the boat ramp. The 11 inch width allows her to sit well supported as if on a wide bench and the rest is very easy getting into the boat.

Thank you Action Craft for such a fine craft and opening up a world that we had been closed out of. We live on the intercoastal waterway here in Vilano Beach and now the intercoastal is an even bigger part of our life.

I recently received a letter from you welcoming my purchase of an Action Craft Flats boat. I appreciated the letter.

It is the first boat that I ever owned and I purchased it for fishing in the Sarasota area. I am really enjoying using it and even though I live in the Chicago area in the summer time, I plan to return to Sarasota at least once a month during the warm months in order to take advantage of the fishing that the area has to offer.
