ABOUT CK PRIME INVESTMENTS, INC.
CK Prime Investments, Inc. was founded by Chad Kovarik. He grew up in a small town in Ohio called Smithfield, with a population of less than 1,000 people. He was very competitive in nature and excelled in school and athletics. He went on to college and graduated with degrees in both Manufacturing Engineering and Business & Operations Management. He also studied Lean Manufacturing in Japan and became a Six Sigma Blackbelt.
With over 20 years in manufacturing, Chad has led and/or supported the turn-around of several manufacturing companies. He did all of this while working as an engineer or a member of the executive management team. It was always his dream some day to buy his own manufacturing company, spend time and energy fixing it and watch the company make customers happy. Chad states, "When the Action Craft possibility came up, I was thinking to myself, this must be a dream because I've always been a boater and wanted to live near the coast in Florida. To get the chance to bring a once thriving business back to life and hear fishing stories from some very happy customers would be like a dream come true." He has been an avid boater since his teenage years so this was an opportunity he could not pass up.
CKPI tends to buy assets at a lower than average price, invest either time, research and/or money into assets to fix or turnaround the business. Chad states, "Turnarounds can be very mentally, emotionally and even physically challenging. But, with help from a good management team and solid production employees, it can be done in a very gratifying way. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing my employees making customers happy."
In his spare time, he likes to help local charities. He volunteers in homeless shelters, soup kitchens and Goodwill stores. Chad ads, "I really enjoy giving back. There are some good people out there, they just need a hand sometimes and I am happy to lend one." He also enjoys boating and fishing, of course, but also likes the downtime at a pool or beach. "There is just something about water that brings peace and serenity to the mind," Chad says.
CKPI is based in Estero, Florida.
